The enormity of the sky, the magnificence of the mountains

This is a simple photo. There is no dramatic sky, there are no threatening clouds. On the day, I can say I was rather disappointed. And yet, the moment stuck with me. Every time I look at this photo, I get back the feeling of smallness and the feeling of calmness that filled me while I was standing there, on this border between earth and sky, on that beautiful winter afternoon.

I also shot some video on the day. During post processing I decided that showing me shooting photos would spoil it, so it ended up being a different kind of video, just scenery and music.
