This photo was taken with a €3000 Nikon. I then took it again with an older Nikon now worth ~€400. Other than the extra detail at 100% magnification due to the higher resolution, I couldn’t spot any other differences between the two photographs. So if you cannot or don’t want to spend several thousand on an expensive system, don’t worry about the quality of the photos. The differences at normal screen magnifications are miniscule (at least for these low dynamic range kind of shots).
