Snow hut Notis Stamos Lenggries
Shot near Lenggries in South Germany

I ‘ve always wondered if these trees right next to the hut on both sides were intentionally planted, or grew there due to favorable conditions. You can see them next to every single hut in the Bavarian countryside (and the sample is statistically significant because there a lot of them). Anyway, this was one of those occasions, where I knew exactly the kind of photo I was going to make as soon as I saw the hut.

If you want, you can see the on location video below:

  2. Mostly there are ‘Elder’ bushes. The farmers let them grow because they protect the stable against blixt and thunder. Then they make a good wine oft the berries. So it is practical thinking and beliving I think.
