Enjoying the view

Lake, Reflection, Mountains, Notis Stamos
In this case I had the consent of the person in the photo.

It took me some time to process this photo. I wanted to go for strong but soft contrast because I didn’t have a lot of features in the background, but I wasn’t quite happy with the result. Taken at the same location as “15 minutes to sunset“.

    1. Thanks Alena! The girl is a boy though (my father, who always enjoys a walk outdoors), he was there because I asked him to pose for the photo and he actually wasn’t in the right place because I asked him to stand in the wrong place ๐Ÿ˜ i.e. one meter to the left and his head was in the dark reflection of the peak. Thankfully I was able to Photoshop him a meter to the right ๐Ÿ˜Š and save the photo.

  1. I feel the scale and vastness and depth of the world and the smallness of me. But that smallness doesn’t leave me with an impression of insignificance or irrelevance. Nope. This image leaves me feeling fortunate to be.
Such wonderful places you take me away to. So far away I wander, I always forget to say beautiful work and thank you.

    1. You don’t forget, you’ve just said it. Thank you for your kind words. Some photos are pleasing to look at, some are less so, but for me any photo that evokes some feeling is a good one. So I am happy this one does that for you. Thanks for visiting!
